A valiant effort by FLuttershy, but unless Rainbow Dash and Luke (Doc) are especially dense, the fact that Pinkie could be out (if Dash doesn't protect her) won't stop them from realising she's the final mafia.

She's dead so it'll be confirmed she's a cop, and she already said that Rainbow and Time Turner were not mafia, didn't she? They would have to be *really dense* to mess this up.

…I don't think she ever said that Time Turner wasn't Mafia.
In the day phase where Nat (playing Trixie) was outed as mafia, Pinkie confirmed Luke (playing Doc/Time Turner/wossname) was "clear", therefore not mafia.
Admittedly, I'm not going back to previous comics, but I don't recall Pinkie ever saying that Dash wasn't mafia.
That being the case, Fluttershy could win if she convinces Doc to vote to oust Rainbow Dash, but even if you're only playing day phases, I think any keen observation of Dash's behaviour makes it clear she's not mafia.
But I'm prepared to be amused and surprised next week.

I am also prepared to bullshit stupidity of town. Played enough ToS to know you should never underestimate people's ability to miss important clues.
Story time: last minute save.
So I was in the middle of ToS game, playing the Werewolf, when my aunt called me for help. I was forced to go AFK for a while and missed whatever was happening in the game. I was sure I'll return to learn I was hanged. What I did remember from prior to me going AFK that one townie was resurrected and brought some info from the dead chat. I didn't remember what his role was. With this info he was able to reveal the Serial Killer. Now, when I returned to my PC there was a moon night and I needed to choose my target fast. I saw that resurrected guy was still alive and clicked him. "Sure" I said to myself, "he may be protected by the Bodyguard, then I'm screwed. But I'll take my chance." I got 3 people that night.
Here is what happened: the Mafioso and the Janitor decided that guy is a dangerous, so they visited him. So that went better then I expected. Next day there was only 3 people left including me, and I had no idea who any of them was, because I was AFK. I needed to act fast. I claimed the Medium and said dead chat was claiming one of the other people is the Werewolf. He answered that he was the Veteran and he killed the Arsonist earlier. Then I say: "Wrong, dead people claim the person mafia cleaned earlier was the Veteran, he killed the Arsonist." He answered: "Dude, that's a bull, he was clearly one of Vampires." The third person got confused and after some hesitating sided with me. That's how I won. And after that I learned the last person was a member of the mafia, so the Veteran was most likely doomed anyway.

Rainbow picked herself, Flutters targeted Pinkie, so yes.
In all honesty, doesn't matter who she protected, it'll still come down to one v two, and both Pinky and Rainbow should have a pretty good idea who's who. Unless Fluttershy pulls one heck of a con, she's toast.
I need to get around to playing Town of Salem again sometime. It was somewhat fun.

The version of Werewolf I learned has it that the Werewolves win once there are at least as many Werewolves as humans.

Aw. Fluttershy killed the slim chances she had of winning tonight. Pinkie pie will be revealed as the cop, which means that her testimony no longer has any reason to be doubted. She's cleared the doctor, and rd has pretty much outed herself as the nurse (and pinkie pie trusted dashie), so unless flutters can convince the doctor that dash is mafia, there's nothing left to do.

So it really comes down to the day phase. Will RD and Dr. Whooves join forces against Fluttershy? Any other result is a Mafia win.
I don't get why Rainbow Dash didn't guard Pinkie. She already knew Pinkie was inevitably going to figure out who the mafia is and even if they didn't lynch her then it was still a good idea to protect her just to be sure.
Dragontrainer said in a comment above this one that one of the house rules that he'd forgotten to write into the explanation was that the Nurse couldn't protect the same player twice.

Did Pinkie ever actually say to the group the Doctor was a civilian? I know she searched him, but maybe I'm forgetting the part where she cleared him.

So here's the problem: Everyone knows Time Turner isn't mafia. But Time Turner doesn't know that Rainbow Dash isn't mafia. He likely suspects she's not, but Pinkie Pie never explicitly said that Rainbow Dash wasn't mafia.
I suspect that's where the suspense will be. Pinkie checked RD, but that was before she outed herself as cop, and she never explicitly said she checked RD and RD was clear. That she did can probably be inferred from what she has said, but enough of the day-phase people haven't picked up on that that it's possible Luke hasn't either.
I daresay the way Rainbow reacted to Twilight's death was a pretty big tell that she was the nurse, as well, but we'll have to see whether Luke noticed that or not (or whether DragonTrainer meant that reaction to be a 'tell' or not).

Oh no, RD blew her cover as the nurse when the Mafia-still three strong-double teamed Twilight. Who else but the nurse would have been confused that she went down?
I get the feeling that author have given all players apropriate pony faces. And considering last panel where Luke gives prety logical argument author choose Time Turner deliberatly. And unless he sabotages next voting proceses FluterBat is busted.

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy will now accuse each other of being Mafia, of course, and it will be up to Doctor Hooves to cast the deciding vote. My guess is that Fluttershy will claim to be the nurse, and that everything Rainbow Dash said that made her out to be the nurse was a Mafia ploy. It will be a hard sell, because (a) Doctor Hooves might not believe that Rainbow Dash is that good an actor, and (b) Rainbow Dash was pretty active in getting other Mafia lynched, such as by backing Pinkie Pie hard. If it's a con, it's a really long, risky con.

Funnily enough, Flutters bio says she may have acting experience, so she might do a lot better than RD thinks.

It's not really a crummy tactic, fluttershy is just a quiet individual in general. It's against her nature to engage in games like this. It's against mine too, I'm very uncomfortable talking in games like this.
