That last panel gave me a story idea.
Exiled or banished stories.
carcinoGeneticist 20th May 2017, 6:16 AM edit delete reply
Hm, don't really have a tabletop story about that, but I've been reading a pretty fantastic ponyfic on the subject called "Grief is the Price we Pay." It's an AU of the Thorax episode where Spike fails to convince everyone that Thorax is a good guy and they both get exiled instead. Very interesting read.
Norville Rogers 20th May 2017, 8:16 AM The High Druid edit delete reply
I got one:

I was playing a druid by the name Norville Rogers (an homage to Roger Norville, my familiar was even gonna be a dog named Doobert Scoo)

Anyway, my character was a pothead, and my partner (named Catchum Hardash) was a stickler for rules and health and such. The story was that we grew up in a monestery.

The gag? They exiled Hardash, not me, but they didn't tell him he was exiled. Instead, they sent me on a 'missing' with him, where I was to lead him away from the monestery and abandon him.

Of course, I got high and forgot what I was supposed to do so neither of us ever returned. It was great

After our secretly-evil teammate took over the city we were supposed to establish basic contact with in the last session of the campaign, he banished most of the religious leaders during the epilogue. Does that count?

(It was my [good] character's idea)

(I stink at playing good characters)

Hmm... well, I played a kobold once who was part of a tribe who had friendly relations with a nearby human village. Some other kobolds came in and killed the humans and most of my tribe. Being such a mighty warrior, I was spared for their war machine. Due to my rebellious attitude I was exiled (an execution would have been too costly in body count). After the back story, I met the group and did adventures.

After the adventure, we all had our own epilogue to play. Easy to see what mine was... it was way too easy, almost sad easy.

I then rebuilt (sort of) my tribe and the nearby village.

Best paladin ever.

I'm currently playing in a campaign where everyone was banished from home to a specific island in their respective Equestria before they were all summoned to a specific version of Equestria. So we are 4 idiots stuck on an island.

The party consists of:
Mr. Man from an EqG-style world.
Mustard Horse from a pretty vanilla, but otherwise high-powered Equestria.
Stormling... Not actually sure where he came from.
And my character, Derp Pone, from a low-powered Equestria stuck in a fake time loop.

So far, aside from Stormling starving and missing his family, Derp Pone starving to death and having minor problems pretty much all the time, Mr. Man starting to drink compulsively and Mustard Horse panicking for no reason, talking to objects as if they were sentient and strangling the poor Derp Pone, we seem to be managing fine, aside from occasional insanity, which is pretty good considering we are already 3 sessions in.

...Shining Armor looks badass wearing the winter gear.
Brickman 20th May 2017, 7:28 AM edit delete reply
I think he looks like he lost a fight with an article of clothing.

He is The Pony in the Iron Mask.

Digo Dragon
Or at least the pony in the $14.99 scarf from Wal-Mart. ;)
Freelance 22nd May 2017, 3:53 AM edit delete reply
Really? Looks like he lost a fight with a roll of duct tape to me. Heck, that's MY headcannon now: in order to exile him, they had to bind him all up in the tape before tossing him onto the first train bound for parts unknown and uncaring.

Digo Dragon
Pffthaha! I cannot unsee it now.
Ishidan 20th May 2017, 5:20 PM Victory dance edit delete reply
And I'd say "victory dancing RD and Twi" just painted huge targets on themselves for the three remaining Mafia.
tolich 20th May 2017, 10:59 PM edit delete reply
Unless they're mafia and dancing for extra cover.
Ishidan 20th May 2017, 11:39 PM Mafia edit delete reply
Why, that's as silly as thinking that other Mafia members might have been ganging up to nominate him for removal from the word go. *cough*
offroader 21st May 2017, 5:40 AM edit delete reply
They had a target on them even if they hadn't chered because acording to rules mafia knows every other mafia. Unlless you're playing some variant with two or more factions of mafia.
Alias Unknown 21st May 2017, 8:28 PM edit delete reply
I would say the targets would be Pinkie Pie rather than Rainbow Dash as it was Pinkie and Twilight who deduced it was Shining Armor.
tolich 20th May 2017, 10:57 PM edit delete reply
I wonder why mane four look that way at Fluttershy. Was she voting against the herd?
BTW, it'd be good to know how do they vote.
aerion111 21st May 2017, 2:46 AM edit delete reply
She might not have voted for either, being 'too shy'.
Hence 'pretty much' unanimous, rather than legitimately unanimous.
tolich 21st May 2017, 9:11 PM edit delete reply
I mean, that look's totally like 'You are the next'. Well, RD doesn't look at Fluttershy, but it looks like she's rolling her eyes.
Guest 22nd May 2017, 10:14 PM edit delete reply
It seems like the way screenshots are being used here is, if a pony appears in a panel after the GM asks for a vote, the pony voted that way. So Shining Armor's the only one who voted for Rarity, and the Mane Six Minus Applejack all voted for Shining Armor as Mafia. (After all, the GM does say "pretty much unanimous".)
paradoxical 22nd May 2017, 5:51 AM mafia numbers edit delete reply
can you remind us the Number of Mafia vs. citizens in the author comment section?
The MunchKING 22nd May 2017, 6:19 AM edit delete reply
The MunchKING
3 to 5 now, IIRC.

Well that's Mafia to non Mafia. 3 of those are technically other jobs instead.
paradoxical 23rd May 2017, 5:37 AM edit delete reply
So RD has to come to the rescue or mafia wins. (3 v 3 = no lynch and 1 night kill = the end)
