Applejack: Well, what a surprise. Minin’ someone else’s gem field for dubious reasons has consequences. Imagine that.
Spike: Look, Rarity said she could handle it. Y’know, talk her way out of it, or something like that.
Twilight Sparkle: Whose familiar are you, anyway…?
Rainbow Dash: Heh! Maybe it’s nothing, then. She practically invented the Diplomancer.
Fluttershy: You… think she’ll be alright, then?
Applejack: She’s a social tank, fer sure, but she’s also devoted to character. Ah don’t think she’s realized it yet, but sometimes those two things can get in each other’s way.
Twilight Sparkle: Like trying to steal the dragon’s treasure while charming it?
Applejack: Exactly.
Pinkie Pie: Backup it is, then! Are we there yet?
DM: You’ve reached a field that Spike swears contains the hole Rarity was dragged down into. Unfortunately, it seems that numerous other holes have popped up beside it.
Twilight Sparkle: How many, exactly?
DM: Here, let me break out the wet-erase map…
SFX: (squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak)
Applejack: Ya quite done with those markers?
DM: Just about.
Pinkie Pie: Holy MOLEY, that’s a lot of holeys!
Applejack: And just how the heck are we supposed to find Rarity in all that?
Twilight Sparkle: There’s really only one way, girls: Systematically!
Check back here tomorrow, because I have something special planned in celebration of the 300th page. Let's just say it involves my voice, a selection of RPG stories from the comments, and the phrase "video comic."
Fun fact: I just happened to check this the moment it updated (I swear, that was a coincidence..I didn't notice the time until just before I hit the "reload" button").
It's fun when I break out big maps and tons of makers for an encounter. The PCs start to sweat.
One of the best encounters of that kind was one inspired by a bag of pretzel bites. A dwarf tower was infested with... something, and the PCs were asked to clear it out. The dwarves were all killed and half eaten so the players were thinking ghouls or similar undead.
They prepped appropriately.
They reach the bottom and... swarm of cannibal kobolds.
I emptied out the bag of pretzel chips (they were about 1" squares in shape) all over the combat mat. It was twelve rounds of one of the most epic siege fights my PCs enjoyed.
I was amazed none of the died, but then again the cleric had the highest remaining HP total at about 11 points...
(They were all around 10th level)
I love it when my players get things all over my maps. Mostly grease stains...but still, it gives the maps character. A special kind of grit and boldness that dares you to ask, "Why did you set those greasy chips on my beautiful map?"
Sounds like fun! I'm just gonna set up this summoning circle on the wall and fill this swimming pool with marshmallow crème... Those are always essentials for a party, right?
"Holy free holeys, Batman! How are we going to dig ourselves out of this one?"
"Holy--" nah, I'm done. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of looking at one of the Twilight/Spike panels just as I heard some police chief chew out his detectives.
Now I can't look at them without hearing Twilight say, "Dammit, AJ! I've got the commissioner riding my ass about this!"
Worse, it's crossing back over so that when Spike goes riding into the rescue, I'm going to read his thoughts as, "I think of Rarity. The rest is easy."
I had an odd daydream mashup of ponies and "The Last Starfighter".
Greetings Star Pony.
You have been recruited by the Pony League to defend the frontier against Sombra, and the Changeling Armada.
So yeah, my brain put this together during the haze I dreamed up:
Big Mac as Alex Rogan
Cheerilee as Maggie Gordon
Pinkie Pie as Grig (Grig was fairly comical)
King Sombra as Xur
Crysalis as Lord Kril
Raxon, I should advise you that I made a point of never clicking any link from you a few months back. It just seemed in the best interests of my fragile sanity.
I just finished Quacked Panes. I gotta say, it is a fantastic comic. I do wish I could have seen more of the relationship between Roger and Rei, however, I am quite satisfied otherwise.
Hey it's tomorrow now!
Can we have the surprise now?
Can we have the surprise now?
Can we have the surprise now?

Can we have the surprise now?
A very nice selection of stories, and the visuals were great, too.
Any chance you might, at some point, just making screencap comics of some of the other stories that have been told on here? After all, animating and voicing them seems a great deal of extra effort if you were planning on doing even more, and I'm sure we could all be greatly satisfied with them in comic form.
That was amazing.
Heck, somehow I didn't even remember the two first stories, and I've been archive-binging.
The one with the little girl sounded a lot like http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Noh, though.
Did someone really re-post Noh in the comments and I didn't notice? Man, I need to read harder...
