Applejack: After y'all eat, it's prob'ly time ta mosey on out ta Helix. Most likely that alarm bell is where our trouble's gonna start.
DM: It's definitely more likely than an alarm going off when everything's fine.
Applejack: Ah'm gonna guess Merlin ain't strong enough ta send us home...but is there any chance he could just zap us ta Helix or somethin'?
Merlin: It is well within my power to send you to Helix. But I'll need a small favor first...
DM: You hear a knocking at the door to the chambers.
Merlin: My mere existence has made me untold enemies. And what I foresaw of today was not merely your arrival.
Applejack: Ah git it. Ah'm sure we can help you beat back whatever's comin'.
DM: On the other side of the door is...
roll
DM: You've got to be kidding me.
Applejack: Spike, Ah don't know what you did to make 'em mad, but fer our sake, please apologize to yer dice.
Fluttershy: Maybe I can intimidate her so we don't have to fight.
roll
Fluttershy: Oh dear...that's not good enough, is it?
DM: Good enough to intimidate the five-headed dragon monster?
DM: No. No it was not.
DM: Fortunately, you're light enough for Merlin to lift you to safety.
Rainbow Dash: Okay, where is that spell on the list?
Twilight Sparkle: I think I have the best shot of distracting Tiamat. I'll hold her off while we make a plan.
Pinkie Pie: Well, I wanna check out the rest of the castle! There's gotta be something we can use!
Rainbow Dash: Hey, why were these doors big enough for Tiamat anyway?
Pinkie PIe: Less thinky, more runny!
Twilight Sparkle: I would really appreciate you doing both!

Unless of course you're being chased by a five-headed dragon god, in which case, please do not relax, this is very serious."
It's okay, there are other ways to get rid of Tiamat now. She's now vulnerable as of July 2021 to Memory Lapse, Cyclonic Rift, Syncopate, Essence Backlash, and Cryptic Command. There's more to the list, but that's what happens when you Join Magic. Heck, even Swords to Plowshares works on her now.
Well, speaking as a part time Wizard 7/Rogue 2,if we're in 5e or abouts? I play a telekinesis flavored character. My guess is that's either flavor spell for story reasons, Telekinesis raw, or my favorite homebrew I've gotten lately, Levitate modified to act like Telekinesis directionally but restricted so it doesn't give you a fly speed personally. Has literally saved lives.
Probably flavor for story.
Clearly the door is that large because the castle was built while Merlin and Tiamat were still dating. Merlin likes strong women, but her multiple-personality disorder turned out to be a deal-breaker. :p
Yeah like that's time I was with a party exploring and old dwarf city overrun by orcs and suddenly and the DM rolls a Balor Lord as random encounter....
We once had an adult blue dragon as a (we think) random encounter. But that was okay, as our fighter at the time was amazingly lucky with dice and rolled 4 20's in a row with his two swords, back when 2 20's on one attack meant insta-death.
