In a more RP-heavy game where the actors in play allow themselves to be vulnerable, maybe not everyone is at the same level of readiness. Sometimes the most boisterous player is the one that's least ready to open up. And that's okay. It's easier than you'd think to pull your punch and be gentle while still giving them a satisfying story.

Heh. Yeah, Dash and Rarity have very different spotlights. Trying to share one of them long-term won't end well.

As was seen, in show, with the butterfly wings Daedalus experience.

(I never had the patience to single-step through the flickering eye scenes for details -- Gilda was unexpected)

Technically, wouldn't Twilight be the Daedalus in that situation? Icarus was the one whose wings melted.

Imagine if Dash's cutie mark was an axe like she suggested at the beginning, and now the social rogue has one...

She'd match Fluttershy's intimidation score? There's a lot of social situations that an axe can only help with...

One of the lessons I feel the other main DM in my group can't quite grasp, I am afraid.

Dave is as talented a DM as he is a player, but DMs what HE wants to PC in. Not what the players PC in, and does not seem to grasp how some things he might not have issue with, utterly ruins another's character for another...

See a previous story of me rather retcon a event that mindraped my character for no fault of my own, and never get the upgrade tied to it, then continuing after a experience so traumatic IRL me can not even begin to comprehend it.

The Tl;dr was I kept telling another PC to stop abusing and pushing the Oracle Staff I became the keeper of, he did both, resulting in a secret Boss encounter with a mindfuckery demon thing(to get information WE ALLREADY KNEW), and while the other two manages to break free and EVENTUALLY fight the thing instead of my puppeteer body( the problem guy failed to read any of the descriptions fully, and managed to entirely miss said monsters existence), the dice failed me, and I constantly got worse and worse shit, as every attempt to free myself failed.

So my character suffered a entirely undeserved torment on a incredibly deep level, that could of been prevented by the other player LISTENING to the only character with ANY remote familiarity with the supernatural... But she was ignored, and she was the only one to suffer for it.

For information we ALLREADY had... and the DM refused to undo it, so I basically quit that one.
