WELL THEN, that was a bit of a heavy week for me. Hopefully I don't have many more opportunities in the future for melancholic retrospective.

What's that? It's going to be my birthday in a little more than two weeks? (sigh)

I'm with Twilight here. There's nothing more exhilarating than discovering that your crazy plan might actually work.

Sadly, the sun is in Cancer at the moment...

Is it? I'd have to do math to check, since the astrology horoscopes in the paper haven't been corrected for 25 centuries of precession.

Let's see, Cancer says it starts with the solstice on 6/22 (which is itself wrong), add 25 days, so Cancer should be 7/17 to 8/16. Then comes Leo.

Well, even astronomy still refers to the spring equinox line as "the First Point of Aries" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Point_of_Aries even if the sun is in Pisces.

About 50 years ago someone published a book to "update" astrology... Besides the precession correction, said book added two more constellations to the cycle! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiuchus_(astrology)

The last time a GM said I was watching my life flash before my eyes, I killed the tension by blurting out "Oh crap, I owe the paladin money!"

Was funnier when the paladin looked down at his character sheet and realized it was true; he loaned me money to buy a magic item. XD
