I for one liked more the ambiguous past, now that we know she have parents, is like the parents of Applejack also appearing... I liked it better when she and the family of others was left hidden...

To be fair, the episode with Applejack's parents was pretty good, and well received by a lot of fans. It isn't surprising that they'd try to do it again for the other character with no written past.

Fill-in-the-blank backstories are convenient for fanfiction, but after a while they start to get a little contrived in the show itself. It's like, how long could this subject never come up?

There are times you just hear Fluttershy's voice clearly in your head exactly how she would sound. The last panel was one of those times. As a Fluttershy fan, I love it.

Huh! There's a slight divergence between the transcript and the actual comic image, in the last panel. I wouldn't have noticed it if not for the mention of Yeswhy.

Wow. So I updated the Comic Life file and the transcript but completely forgot to export the latest version of the page. That's probably a first.

For everyone else, the previous version of the last two lines was:
DM: You could be... her aunt? Their babysitter, maybe?
Fluttershy: <squee!> Yay!

Makes a bit of sense, Scoots' color scheme is fairly close to Shy's. Way closer than Zephyr.

I hope we can see more of the CMC in the future, they really did a ton to flesh out the setting and main cast.
