Applejack: I, uh… Look, Discord basically put a big ol' puzzle box in front o' me and Ah fixated on that the whole game. An' while Ah can certainly curse him out for manipulatin' me like that… Ah shouldn't have let that puzzle box stop me from… y'know, bein' a team player.
Twilight Sparkle: I understand. I'm sorry for the way I acted too.
Applejack: <sigh> Mighty grateful to hear that. Jus' hope the others are doin' okay.

I don't find this page funny at all ... And it's a very good thing.
I know each pages, even serious one, are supposed to end with some kind of gag or joke ... But for this page, the ending is really great ... you can feel the love, that's great!
I think for me it just switched too soon from the heartwarming moment to the gag. The heartwarming is a longtime coming from this stressful session. :3
Rd: I have nothing to apologise for because I was right all along. BTW your outta the good stuff. Can we do a snack run?
...
what? Dont tell me im the only one hungry.
Eh... Can't say I can agree with what you're saying (since I can't think of enough OoC confirmation on her end that she was having fun in the comic, nor can I really call what she's playing here "revealing her true character" since this isn't exactly a normal situation for anyone involved in-comic).
It wasn't that she was "revealing her true character." She IS a good person. She's also a very intelligent person. A perceptive person. She's not oblivious or naive, she can see things going on in front of her. And she kept her mouth shut about it because she didn't want to come across as a mean person - probably because she's had dealings with someone who liked to say, "I'm not cruel, I'm honest."
There is, after all, a middle ground between "meekly keep quiet" and "gleefully scorch the earth with weaponized truths told just to be hurtful." There's also a world of difference between evil thoughts and evil actions. (Kind of like how good actions are far more helpful than good intentions or good wishes. Think all the nastiness you want... just don't act on it)
