I wouldn't consider it that bad a plan, as these things go. Compared to some Fallout is Dragons shenanigans, this was actually kind of clever. But, alas, sometimes secret knowledge wins out.

Ah, yes. Trojan horse races, exploding pancakes, and cupcake deliveries.

Good times.

Exploding pancakes? Do share!

Really, the cupcake delivery was just another case of Weaver's knack of making crazy, poorly-thought-out plans, and then pulling them off with foolish luck (can't call it dumb luck when Javolt's supposed to be a genius :P) and a bit of stubborn drive.

The Cupcake ploy had absolutely no right of working whatsoever, really.

Trojan horse races?

So like a giant hollow horse driven by a pony against other giant hollow horses driven by ponies?

Horse-eption.....

No no.. you need THREE layers for Inception. They were very clear about that. You'd need to have a second wooden pony inside the first, with a pony inside that.

For two, you can do a Yo Dawg, though.

I wish the invention of the Bombies was recorded. That sounded like it was a... well, blast.

So... he knows of Rara's true identity
hariman 30th Sep 2017, 8:46 PM edit delete reply
Actually, considering both Blueblood's and Applejack's reactions... It's more likely that Blueblood IS Elusive, and wants to talk with Rarity about her and her friends knowing.

Which means there's probably going to be some VERY fast improvisation inbound soon!
Draxynnic 30th Sep 2017, 11:07 PM edit delete reply
It's also possible that he recognises that he's the one being spoofed, and therefor the identity of 'Raritina' is pretty simple to figure out.
Robin Bobcat 1st Oct 2017, 2:09 PM edit delete reply
I got the impression that Elusive wasn't really *evil*, just a really good rogue.

My personal theory is that Elusive is actually a name Celestia has been using to quietly control the organized crime in Equestria without anyone being the wiser...
Truthkeeper 1st Oct 2017, 3:58 PM edit delete reply
Robin Bobcat, can you really call it a personal theory when it's already been put forth in the text? Pinkie has been running with that one at least since Rarity got blacklisted
Robin Bobcat 2nd Oct 2017, 5:41 PM edit delete reply
Sorry, should I have said 'My personal theory is that Pinkie is right'?

Sorry, should I have said 'My personal theory is that Pinkie is right'?

Given Pinkie's knack for intuition, almost a sense she, Pinkie, has, I would bet the GM is quietly grinding teeth while trying to fiddle the background info...

To quote an infamous song: "Where do we go from here?".

Also, I'm really wondering what Blueblood is planning now, and how Rarity will react.
HopeFox 1st Oct 2017, 5:24 AM edit delete reply
Blueblood is way too savvy. I'd abort the mission at this point.
The Old One 1st Oct 2017, 6:59 AM edit delete reply
Nah. This is the point where you stop treating him as a mark and make him an ally.
Robin Bobcat 1st Oct 2017, 2:10 PM edit delete reply
No no... vice versa. He's now realized that Rarity is on to him. If he's smart, he'll take her as an ally... but in all likelyhood, he will treat her as a rival.

Having the saviors of Equestria on your side is never a bad deal!
Robin Bobcat 2nd Oct 2017, 5:43 PM edit delete reply
Except he is very likely to be a bad guy. They won't like that. Rarity might go with, for the sake of dramatic narrative, but even RD is probably gonna say 'Ummm... nope'.

Besides, we've seen what happens in the episode. We need angry Flutters to barge in.
PumpkingKnight 2nd Oct 2017, 9:33 AM edit delete reply
He's gonna make her "disappear"

Not sure why, but the "Raritina part" made me think about Majora's Mask when the Zora is saying his final words and use the guitar
