Newbiespud's Note: A followup to this previous guest comic. This'll be 6 parts!

Guest Author's Note: "These interlopers in Equestria are Phoebe, Marceline, and Bonnie, from my comic: Steven and the Crystal GMs. I'll admit, I mostly started this one curious what havoc the GeMs could wreak. Also for those familiar with them, I changed their colors so as to avoid too much confusion between Marceline and Twilight who both are predominently purple. Consider this their 'away game' colors."

Nice continuation.

Should I be hearing a "dun, dun, DUNNNN!" at the end of this comic? I really feel like I should.

Anyone else ever get the urge to shout out their name when hearing other people start saying names?

Yeah, muscle memory from Rocky Horror Picture Show. :D

Definitively. Or just the urge to yell 'Pinkie!', but mostly my own name.

Oh my gosh THIS is the crossover I've been waiting for!

Also, on an unrelated note, is there any interest in a campaign comic based on DC's Flarrow-verse?

I'd be interested in reading one and seeing how it goes.
CrowMagnon 11th Dec 2016, 9:43 AM edit delete reply
Oliver's group would be primarily drama-fueled roleplayers. Barry's an extreme min-maxer (though every so often, his friend Kara shows up to show how it's REALLY done). The Legends are a group of mostly-newbies who latched onto some of the NPCs and decided to make it their own thing.
Cyborg7221 11th Dec 2016, 2:29 PM edit delete reply
@CrowMagnon I'll take that as a yes...

...but those are the obvious choices. I'd at least like to think that mine doesn't fall under as many CC tropes.

(oh my gosh campaign comics have tropes now)
Michaela 12th Dec 2016, 12:48 PM edit delete reply
In the DCU it's pretty impossible to have a character that doesn't have major trope issues. That is why I usually stick to Marvel.

FINALLY caught up!!
Whoo boy... what a journey. This took about a week for me, from start to finish, delayed in the middle by insisting on reading it aloud to my roommate and vet visits.

Honestly, the whole 'come for the comic, stay for the comments' is fairly accurate, though I would have read the whole thing regardless. The comments were just a little something extra.... makes me feel as if I already know you guys.
Which means the burden is on me to help you get to know me just as well, so ask me anything, I am an open book.

I wish I could tell each of you how much I appreciate your stories and theories and all around silliness, but I honestly can't remember everyponies' names off the top of my head. so if I don't mention you specifically, please don't feel left out, just speak up and we'll get a good friend vibe going.
Here goes:

@Newbiespud; yeah, I suppose I could email, but I am currently on my work iPad and my phone has no data. Love the comic, keep it up, and please please please PLEASE let me join one of your games? or you could join mine. I have a homebrew that I'd love your opinion on.

@Digo; love your artwork. I'd love to game with you some time, or just hang out. with you GMing, or me, or a third party...whatever.

@Raxon; Ah! Ahh, gah ragrghghgh bleh.... *takes a deep breath* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! *runs in circles then hits head against a wall*

...I just realized, Raxon's not been around for ages!
He's not ran out of comments either; I just checked his profile, and it said: "Comments left: 4083" (Actually, I checked it for other reasons - wasn't even aware there WAS a comment limit... It'll be interesting to see what Spud does when they use up THEIR remaining 1403 comments)
Haven't seen them in the other campaign comics for a while either.
Cyborg7221 11th Dec 2016, 4:23 PM edit delete reply
I don't think that "comments left" is supposed to imply a limit on the number of comments you can make. I'm pretty sure it's just a tracker of the number of comments that you've posted.
Winged Cat 11th Dec 2016, 9:58 PM edit delete reply
Winged Cat
What the cyborg said. "Comments Left" seems to be the number of comments you have placed on comics to date, not the number of remaining comments your account is allowed or expected to make.

I also forgot to ask ANW why they're a root beer.

Despite that, I don't think I'm going to register a profile with Comic Fury. I love commenting and stuff, but I'm not that invested in the website. Just the people on it.

I've noticed Raxon was gone for ages. He's very distinctive and easily missed, I find.

Aye, the comment section of FiD is a lovely bonus to Spud's great comic series. Like the perfect cream cheese icing to a red velvet cake (unless that's not your thing, then skip that part). ^^;
Michaela 12th Dec 2016, 2:09 PM edit delete reply
I do love cream cheese frosting. And I agree with the metaphor.

What are you up to currently, Digo?
CrowMagnon 11th Dec 2016, 9:52 AM edit delete reply
Just going to take a guess here that Twilight's player hangs out at the library enough to be on friendly terms with Bonnie, and maybe even based some of Twilight's traits on her.

Marceline and Fluttershy are harder to pin down. Marceline could have been her music teacher at some point, or they could be related. I dunno.

I'm not sure why Finn isn't with them, though. I bet he'd love it.
Rastaba 11th Dec 2016, 11:36 AM edit delete reply

Far as Finn goes, long story is Finn's Mom doesn't know the trio personally unlike Betty, and for it wouldn't 'sign off' on Bonnie taking him somewhere. Short version, wasn't 100% sure where I was going with it and didn't know where to fit Finn in.

In regards to how they know each other, you will have to wait and see.
CrowMagnon 12th Dec 2016, 6:10 PM edit delete reply
Fair enough.
you know that guy 12th Dec 2016, 9:49 AM edit delete reply
I think it's more likely Bonnie based some of her character on Twilight's player.
Rastaba 12th Dec 2016, 3:45 PM edit delete reply
Rastaba
Actually Bonnie was more inspired by a mix of Pearl's character in the series and Nat from Dragontrainer's One Piece grande line 3.5. Twilight and Pearl both just happen to be huge nerds.

Dusk Raven 12th Dec 2016, 12:49 AM edit delete reply
Every time I'm linked one of the older comics, I start reading the comments... and, what with my thought patterns, hearing of Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters reminded me of Yu-Gi-Oh, and how I'd really love to watch a Yu-Gi-Oh series that's entirely in the Duel World.

Or, for that matter, I'd love to play a game or campaign with that premise.
Michaela 12th Dec 2016, 12:37 PM edit delete reply
I was a pretty loyal fan up until the Atlantis arc, and through those five seasons and two movies the Shadow Realm had a very tight lid on it. So I honestly don't know enough about it to write a campaign through the Yu-go-oh 'duel realm' as you put it. Otherwise, hell yes.
Dusk Raven 13th Dec 2016, 11:32 AM edit delete reply
I only watched the original Yu-Gi-Oh up until the final arc involving Ancient Egypt, so frankly you've seen as much of the Duel World as I have.

Aside from the various Shadow Realm shenanigans, the Duel World is contained entirely within a couple of filler arcs. I just really, really love the concept of a world where the monsters in the cards are actually real.
Michaela 13th Dec 2016, 2:08 PM edit delete reply
okay, I thought it over and I can totally do a game setting in the shadow realm. Email me and maybe we can work something out. gryphonesqueltd@gmail.com
